The Petticoat Pages sends its sincere thanks to The House of the Seven Gables for a grand 2023 run of Tales of the Macabre. "Jennifer had audiences absolutely captivated! Her portrayal of characters and narrators not traditionally envisioned as women was so seamlessly achieved and offered a fresh and relevant take on some of our favorite traditional spooky tales...it made you feel like you were being entertained in someone's parlor." |

"Our audience was spellbound by Jennifer's presentation. She brought depth and soul to her performance, was extremely knowledgeable about her subject, and did a wonderful job of illuminating a specific time in American history. She was able to connect and engage with everyone, from young children to seniors, and really bring history to life for all of us. [We] would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a historical presentation that leaves a deep impact."
~University of Maine at Presque Isle "Jennifer...helped my students understand this period of time from multiple perspectives. All of my 4-6th grade upper elementary students were engaged during her workshop and left with a deeper understanding of this historical time and the impact left on humans for generations to come. Jennifer's clear and dynamic approach made a confusing topic fun to learn!" ~Diana Norma Shafer, Upper Elementary Montessori Teacher and Harborlight Montessori "The attendees were mesmerized by her ability to portray all the characters in different voices and facial expressions [in A Christmas Carol]. Using just a few props to distinguish characters she brought the story to life. The comments from attendees ranged from 'How do you do this?' and 'This was simply amazing'. One couple came to see her for the sixth time, and several others for the second or third time over the years... it was more than a fund raising event. It was a slightly different program than a purely historical program to expose a different audience to the Historical Society. We did get a few more new members as a result. Jennifer is truly a treasure. If you ever have a chance to witness any of her amazing performances I would encourage you to do so." ~Rick Kane, President, Lebanon CT Historical Society |
